Shower

The big day before the big day for Ellie’s cousin. Daddy heads out to have lunch with the men and Mommy stays to make sure Ellie doesn’t take over and/or ruin the party. We juggle between jumping up and bouncing Ellie to keep her from screaming in exhaustion (again, woke up every 2 hours last night) and pulling her back as she crawls right up, front and center, trying to be the star of the show and playing with the discarded ribbons and paper from all the gifts.

Some great pictures were taken by a family friend.  Unfortunatley, the mempry chip was lost and she was the only one taking pictures... actually, sh was in charge of taking pictures.

Immediately after the party, we head out for the return trip home. It was past Ellie’s nap, so we assumed she would sleep a good portion of the way. No. No, no and no. Ellie managed to stay awake (and unhappy) almost the entire 6+ hours home and once she was tucked into bed, she was up every hour. As the picture shows, she did fall asleep when placed in the car, but… apparently driving woke her up…

Note the parting gift from the shower, a jar of blue candies.  Ellie held this the entire way home.
