Daddy's favorite flower because it blooms in May, his Birthday Month! |
Slept in today and took our time packing and getting ready to travel. Ellie’s eldest cousin is getting married in August and her bridal shower is this weekend, so we are all going up to celebrate with her. We leave the house around noon and sleep/scream all the way to NY – about 6 hours is what it would have taken if we had not stopped 3 times. As of earlier this week, going up to PA, we have stopped the weaning process and are going back to nursing when Ellie asks for it, which is constantly, so… we are ignoring half the requests, kind of a part-time nursing program (probably not highly recommended by the Association of Pediatrics). This has helped the traveling experience. Although, since going to Gettysburg, our little darling who used to sleep all the way through the night is now waking up every 2-3 hours, sometimes even more, but we have not been home long enough to work on this again and I do not want to wake up households and/or neighborhoods just to force the sleeping issue… so getting back into the routine will have to wait until we get back into our routine. Until then, it is easily explained why I need snacks during our drives. We made it up to Daddy’s brother’s house in time for dinner, unpacking and bedtime. Daddy stayed up and socialized. Mommy used Ellie as an excuse to crash early! TeeHee!
Actually, his favorite is the purple and yellow, but today these were in full bloom and I had to stop, get out of the car and take pictures as we were leaving!!! They are very pretty! |
