Gettysburg

  Happy Mother's Day!

Ellie was up at 5:30 this morning... wishing me a Happy Mother's Day, I can only assume.  I tried to get her to rest a little longer, by nursing... doesn't work when you have weaned a kid.  She was only too happy to keep trying, I was not comfortable, so we got dressed in our swim suits and went for a swim.  Ellie did some tricks, she swam underwater 3 more times, we splashed about and entertained the guys who were working out in the next room over (glass pane gave them a full, entertaining view of the pool.)  Then, we hopped into the hot tub to warm up before heading back upstairs where we wished Daddy a Happy Mother's Day until he could no longer ignore us and he decided to start the day, as well.

Ellie wore an outfit that Aunt Sue had given her as a Mother's Day gift (I haven't had the opportunity to make cards), Aunt Sue was happy.

Then, we went to breakfast before starting the Gettysburg Daytime Tour.  The men folk drove in one car, the rest of us happily followed in our car.  We stopped at one point to allow Ellie some time to get out and walk around.  By 2pm, we were done and ready to head home.  Aunt Sue and Uncle Steve joined us for a wonderful German dinner Jeff and I had been working on for the past week.  It was delicious!
