Saturday, Steve and Sue had a Robert Burns
Party at their home. Of course, we all celebrated the Scottish traditions of Robbie Burns by wearing appropriate attire. Daddy wore a borrowed kilt, Mommy wore the Napier Tartan scarf that Daddy bought for Grandma many years ago and we found a Christmas Tartan for El to wear. We listened to a bagpiper and tried haggis, neither were too bad.
El lasted until 8:30 with a usual bedtime at 7, she did really well! There were over 40 people celebrating, but once El fell asleep, not even the multiple verses of ALL the Scottish Ballads that everyone belted out after 10pm woke her. It was a wonderful evening!
