Mommy's Haircut

Today, Mommy and Ellie went to the hospital for routine blood work (where Ellie entertained the ladies waiting their turn), went to the post office and the bank.  Then, Daddy, Mommy and Ellie went to Middletown for lunch and a haircut.  Lunch was wonderful.  We scheduled the haircut to coincide with Ellie's nap.  The plan was for her to nurse under the apron as I got a haircut.  Didn't happen.  It started out fine.  Then, Ellie began playing peek-a-boo with the apron.  Finally, she just sat up on my lap, clapping and waving at herself in the mirror.  Rob dried my hair straight, which I like - but would never have the time to do... which meant we spent an extra amount of time grinning and waving in the mirror.  It all worked out, and if I twist my head to the left with a slight forward tilt, the haircut even looks pretty even.  Actually, Rob did an amazing job, I would never have attempted to bring a pair of sharp, pointed scissors near someone with a bouncing baby in their lap!  Daddy had his hair trimmed and cleaned up; as well.  It went a whole lot faster!

When we returned home, Daddy found his baby shoes and we snapped a Daddy/Ellie shoe shot.  I wish we had found his shoes a little sooner - we would have taken a picture of Ellie wearing them, as it is, her feet are too big.  It is amazing how baby shoes have changed.  Jeff's shoes are stiff with no flexibility; where as, Ellie's are soft and super flexible - also very worn, but she has just about grown out of them!
