Calories and Dog/Baby

I have been focusing on getting healthy and losing the last few baby pounds and then a few more (the baby pounds are now gone, the few more remain.)  So, I try to exercise any chance I get with or without Ellie, with or without Jeff and then I record the calories in an online journal that I have been sharing with three of my sisters.  Real easy, right?
Today, Jeff was in the garage going through some of the old papers from Grandma Dishart's house (they smell of mold, so I won't let him bring them all inside).  I was busy during Ellie's naps, so I opted to have her join me for a walk, since Daddy was in the garage, we chose the treadmill over walking around the circle.  Usually Ellie falls asleep while I walk.  Not today, she had already accomplished her naps.  I put Ellie in the Moby (she faces me) and walked.  She managed to wiggle and squirm her way around so that she could see and reach the keypad of the treadmill.  So, how do I calculate the calories???  20 minutes of anywhere from 3 to 3.5 mph at a slope that varied from 0-6%.  We quit after 20 minutes and left Daddy back to his work in the garage while Ellie was strait-jacketed into the stroller.  I walked/jogged the circle - twice!  Ellie helped to keep me going by singing the entire 30 minutes.

Ellie has always loved her dogs.  Her first real laugh happened while she was watching the dogs wrestle in the backyard.  She must have been dreaming of being able to join them ever since.  After our walk, I sat on the back patio and set Ellie on the ground in front of me.  As I pondered how to enter my calorie count... a measly 188?!  Alex the dog bounded past us with his large, purple jolly ball (it was a horse toy, but the dogs like it better).  Not a split second later, Ellie was after him.  I have never seen her crawl so fast!  She chased him through the grass and he played along, finally giving the ball up to her.  Daddy came out of the garage to watch.  It was hilarious!  Unfortunately, we did not get pictures.  So, you have to imagine a 110 pound white german shepherd, purple handle of a 14" ball (diameter) in his mouth, running and playfully bouncing away from a long, thin, speeding baby who has a look of pure joy on her face.  Does it get any better?!
