Snuggle Up With A Book

We spent the day with Bonnie and Sara who, exhausted from traveling, took naps.  Carrington left this morning. So, El and I went alone to the library (Daddy was resting, also.)  Today we turned in our Snuggle up with a Book poster.  Together with Daddy's help, we read 311 books in February.  We were not planning to be so ambitious, but El enjoys her books.  At night, she will pull out books when there are toys in the same shelf.  She also has particular books she likes best (plastic Care Bear Colors book)and particular pages she turns to (the K is for Kitten in her B is for Bear book - the kitten has a ball of yarn that is real yarn and when you drag your finger over the yarn, you can see the white page underneath it) until she finds what she is looking for.  Then, of course, you have to read the same book 3-4 times, so it wasn't hard to get so many books read.  I am sure we were not the only ones who read that many books, but the librarian was so excited, she wanted a picture of El picking out her reward - a free book.  They are going to put the picture in their newsletter (provided El has the most books read by the time everyone brings in their posters).  I will get the picture and post it... In the meantime, El received her second certificate of achievement!
