The big tooth came in a month ago. The new one is just, barely visible. |
Today we took Grandma to Fairfax (where Mommy lived when she was in high school). Grandpa met us there, the two had planned to work on the house - they rent it out. Ellie was hungry by the time we drove the 1 1/2 hour drive, so Daddy and Mommy sat in the car and fed Ellie before heading out to Bolling Air Force Base to meet the newest member of Mommy's side of the family. Just before we got everyone back into their car seats, we noticed that Ellie has a new tooth! Bottom, Front, Right just popped in! It is translucent, so we will give it a couple of weeks to grow and then get another picture, but you can feel that it is there!
We stopped at Fair Oaks Mall on the way home to look at the new ipad2. We were thinking about getting one... and, although it is super cool and has two cameras and a bunch of fun things to play, I think we will hold off. We have two laptops, two ipods and an itouch; do we really have time for more?! (Mommy wastes too much time playing Pocket Frogs!) But, the mall wasn't a total loss... we met the Easter Bunny! Daddy snuck a side-angle picture, so we will save the real picture for cards and the Easter Day blog! She wasn't afraid... when she was being distracted - that didn't last long!
Side view... original coming Easter Sunday! |
One last story... a week ago at Costco, Daddy found and bought a super, snugly, soft lamb pillow/blanket set. The blanket rolls up and the pillow Velcros around it making a fat, little lamb toy. It is warm, so we have it in the car for everyone to use. When we left Aunt Julie, I was hoping Ellie would fall asleep, so, I pulled the blanket out of the sheep and put it on top of Ellie. She really likes it when you make a stuffed animal kiss her cheek, so before I closed the door, I had the lamb pillow kiss her a couple of times and then I placed him on her lap. As we are driving along, Daddy and I hear Ellie saying HI!, pause, HI!, pause, HI!, pause, you get the idea. We turn around, she is playing peek-a-boo with the lamb! Daddy tried to video tape it, but she stopped and just stared into the camera... she started again once the camera was gone!
